My Story
(Rhiannon)
Rhiannon is a 23-year-old, that grew up caring for her mother from the age of 10 years old, whilst living in Brecon.
Although she has Erbs Palsy and ADHD, Rhiannon has never let anything stop her. By 19 she had competed for Disability Sport Wales, and had achieved gold medals in discus, shot put, javelin, long jump, and able-bodied kickboxing.
When her mother passed away, in 2022, Rhiannon felt broken. She quit her job, moved back in with her father, and began trying to rebuild her life again.
Eventually, she began busking, which quickly became her driving force. So, after an open mic host told her she wasn't able enough to be a "real musician", she decided to prove them wrong.

She learnt how to beatbox, using her body as the instrument, and set up an accessible open mic night.

Rhiannon became Rightkeysonly, and has since devoted her time to breaking down barriers for other disabled musicians experiencing stigma like she did.

This has been a lot to handle, at times, but her community is what has kept her going, and she wouldn't have made it as far as she has done without them.
